PARALLEL PARKING

OBJECTIVE: Student will be able to successfully Parallel Park. The student will have an understanding of why it would be beneficial to parallel park on busy streets. Student will understand why he/she signals, looks over shoulder and pulls out of their parking space. Students will understand why drivers who are pulling out of a parking area cause the most accidents.

TIPS FOR THE NEW DRIVER: A reminder….do not park next to a poorly parked car. Refer to BTW lesson 3 . Spaces marked for parallel parking is usually 22 to 26 feet long and 8 feet wide. A typical vehicle is 15 feet in length.
